Experience is certainly the best teacher, but Brad Hompe has far more than experience to draw upon. He also has made sure he received the right amount of education to make him better. After high school graduation, he went on to Winona State in Minnesota, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice and psychology. He then went on to obtain a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh. While he performed his duties with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (WI-DOC), he also earned several certifications in areas such as law enforcement and another as a firefighter, which he received from Southwest Technical College in Fennimore, Wisconsin.
Brad Hompe can currently be found working with WI-DOC as a Corrections Complaint Examiner and Investigator. Throughout the course of his long and comprehensive tenure with WI-DOC, Brad has done nearly everything there is to do and performed nearly every task there is to do at a corrections facility. He worked his way up the chain and held virtually every position there is to hold between the position of corrections officer to deputy warden, before finally becoming warden.
